Accommodation Terms and Conditions
Article 1 (Scope of Application)
All accommodation contracts and related agreements entered into between the Ryokan ("the Hotel") and the guest shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions. Matters not stipulated herein shall be governed by applicable laws and generally accepted practices in Japan.
Article 2 (Formation of Accommodation Contract)
An accommodation contract shall be deemed concluded when the Hotel accepts the guest’s application.
Article 3 (Refusal of Accommodation)
The Hotel may refuse accommodation in the following cases:
When the application does not comply with these Terms
When no rooms are available
When the guest is likely to violate laws or public order
When the guest is affiliated with organized crime or antisocial forces
When accommodation is impossible due to natural disaster, facility malfunction, or other unavoidable causes
Article 4 (Payment of Accommodation Charges)
Accommodation charges must be paid prior to the commencement of stay or at the time designated by the Hotel.

Article 6 (Hot Spring / Onsen Use Regulations)
1. Bathing Tax (Nyutozei)
A bathing tax is imposed in accordance with the Local Tax Act and municipal ordinances.
The tax shall be collected separately from the accommodation charge.
Exemptions shall follow local regulations.
2. Hygiene and Health Restrictions
The Hotel manages its hot spring facilities in compliance with the Public Bathhouse Act and relevant regulations.
The Hotel may refuse bathing to guests who:
Are intoxicated
Show symptoms of infectious disease
Have been advised by a physician to avoid bathing
Engage in conduct that endangers or disturbs others
3. Tattoo Policy
The Hotel may restrict bathing by persons with tattoos in accordance with its operational policy. Covering measures may be permitted at the Hotel’s discretion.
4. Prohibited Conduct in Bathing Areas
Diving into baths
Loud behavior
Photography
Dyeing hair or washing clothing
Use of medicinal substances
Article 7 (Passport Requirement for Foreign Guests)
In accordance with Article 6 of the Ryokan Business Act, foreign guests who do not have an address in Japan must present their passport.
The Hotel shall retain a copy as required by law.
Foreign residents of Japan are exempt.
Personal information shall be handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
Article 8 (Theft, Loss, and Security Measures)
The Hotel implements reasonable security measures, including surveillance cameras and staff patrols, for crime deterrence purposes.
Such measures are intended for general safety and do not constitute an individual custody or safekeeping obligation for guest property.
The Hotel shall not be liable for theft, loss, or damage to property brought into the premises by guests, unless caused by the Hotel’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Where the Hotel has implemented security measures ordinarily expected of similar establishments, criminal acts committed by third parties shall be deemed causes not attributable to the Hotel.
In-room safes, lockers, and similar facilities are provided as convenience devices and do not guarantee complete protection against theft.
Article 9 (Valuables Deposit)
Cash, securities, jewelry, and other high-value items must be expressly deposited at the front desk.
Absent express deposit, the Hotel shall be deemed unaware of the nature or value of such items.
The Hotel shall not be liable for damages exceeding what is reasonably foreseeable.
Article 10 (Guest’s Duty of Self-Care)
Guests are responsible for managing their own property.
Failure to lock rooms or lockers or to exercise reasonable care may reduce or eliminate Hotel liability.
Article 11 (Limitation of Liability)
In cases of ordinary negligence by the Hotel, liability shall be limited to the total accommodation charges paid under the relevant contract.
This limitation does not apply in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 12 (Parking)
The Hotel provides parking space but does not assume custody of vehicles, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 13 (Amendments)
The Hotel may amend these Terms when necessary due to legal or operational reasons. Updated Terms shall be posted appropriately.
